Rumiano Cheese Holiday Recipe Contest 2013 Winner Recap
Congratulations to Deb Ryan and her "Buttery Monterey Jack Cookies"
For those unfamiliar, the Holiday Recipe Contest is an annual cooking contest we hold online. Cheese lovers from around the United States are encouraged to send in their holiday themed recipes using cheese! This year's contest had over thirty recipes entered, all vying for a chance to win a glorious Northern California gift basket.
This year's recipe contest had three winners. One "Grand Prize" winner, who won the giant Northern California gift basket (pictured below this paragraph), and two runners-up each receiving free Rumiano Family Organic coupons.
Grand Prize Winner: Buttery Monterey Jack Cookies with Pepper and Cocoa Nibs
In first place was Deb Ryan's "Buttery Monterey Jack Cookies with Pepper and Cocoa Nibs," created "to compliment the appealing pepper and cocoa coating of the sumptuous and historical cheese." This recipe is a must if you're a fan of savory treats!
First Runner-Up: Mock Cheese Soufflé
The first runner up was the "Mock Cheese Soufflé" by Michelle P. "This Mock Cheese Souffle is packed with taste and is quick and easy which is always a plus!" Great for a party, or family meal, this recipe will please a crowd!
Second Runner-Up: Give Peas A Chance No Hassle(back) Potatoes
Katherine D's "Give Peas A Chance No Hassle(back) Potatoes" was our second runner-up. Those cheesy, bacon topped potatoes won Katherine 8 free Ruminao Family Organic coupons - hopefully to make more potatoes! An easy, child friendly recipe. "If you have children who are learning knife skills, partially cooked potatoes are easy to slice."
Congratulations to all of the winners, and thanks to everyone who entered the Rumiano Second Annual Holiday Recipe Contest. We can't wait to see what recipes you come up with next year.
