10th Kitchen Blog Review of Rumiano Cheese

"Rumiano Cheese contacted me about hosting a cheese giveaway for non-GMO month, and I couldn't say yes quickly enough. I was already a fan–they are the world's first cheesemaker certified by the non-GMO project and, equally importantly, they make fantastic cheese. For evidence, look no further than that beast of a grilled cheese sandwich, oozing with their Habanero Jack.

Food Hunter's Guide to Cuisine Blog Review of Rumiano Cheese

"The company's philosphy is simple "It all comes down to good people, good ingredients, and good products" and I think Rumiano's has this down. The cheeses which come in several varieties are wholesome, high quality and great tasting. I sampled the mozzarella and the mild cheddar and was impressed with both."

Cheese of the Month: Monterey Jack

Ever wondered where Monterey Jack got its name?

Monterey Jack is considered a classic California cheese. It is one of our most popular varieties in the Rumiano Family Organic line, and we have been producing it since the company's birth in the early 1900s. Our Dry Jack (aged Monterey Jack) is another crowd favorite. Monterey Jack has penetrated the US cheese market as a "typical" American cheese, but there is quite a history attached to the name.
